Hi there, I’m Carly!

I’m an arts manager, writer, and creative thinker currently based in Orlando, Florida. I have a BFA in Stage & Production Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

I am all about cultivating experiences that have a unique, personal relationship with their audience, and that are touched by many interpretations on their journey from page to stage. Whether as a writer, stage manager, production manager, or creative producer, I strive to be a part of projects that connect, uplift, and inspire.

My Values

I believe in the transformative power of curiosity.

We have so much to learn from each other. When we get curious about the work we are doing, our fellow collaborators, and the world around us, we get better. And when we allow ourselves to ask questions, we create a more positive and inclusive working environment.

I believe in elevating the voices of my collaborators.

Leadership is about building trust and clearing roadblocks, to allow your team to do their best work. I strive to lead with kindness, get to know my team, and empower them to share their thoughts. I take active steps to ensure any team I work on is a collaborative ensemble.

I believe in following tasks through all the way to the finish line.

Anything that’s worth doing is worth doing well. A good manager should prioritize: they can ensure that everything is done to the appropriate level of polish, and that the team knows when and how to move on. Flexibility and diligence can coexist. We have a duty of care.

And I believe in holding space for good humor.

It’s dangerous to take yourself too seriously! I choose to approach my work from a place of passion, and to always seek out the joy in the project and the people around me. In this big, complicated world, laughter can be just as vital a form of sustenance as water or air.
